The very active Algoma University notable alumni council keeps former students engaged from all around the world. The Preferred Service Home Auto Plan, a lifetime membership to the Arthur A Wishart Library, access to the exercise equipment at the George Leach Centre, and confidentiality of personal information are just a few of the perks available to alumni. 

Over the years, the institution has produced accomplished individuals in a variety of professions. Some of them are Michael Cachagee- Famous teacher, activist, and speaker, Ryan Harnden- Canadian curler, Josephine Mandamin- Founder of Mother Earth Water Walkers, Shirley Fletcher Horn- First chancellor of Algoma University, and Joanne Robertson- Well known author.
