Transportation in the city

There are various approaches to arrive at the University of Stavanger in Norway, including taking the bus, train, walking, or renting a motorcycle. The city has an efficient and most well public transportation system.

Traveling by bus:  On the web pages of the public transportation firm Kolumbus, you can schedule your bus travel. You receive a discount on your bus tickets if registered as a student. You must travel with your student ID if you purchase discounted tickets.

Traveling by bicycle: If you have a bike, you can utilize the roads or cycling lanes to travel to our campuses in Ullandhaug or Bjergsted. Nine hundred sixty bicycles can be parked on Ullandhaug, most of which are covered.

Traveling by car and Parking License: Parking on the university's campus is free; however, you must park properly to avoid fines. Please be aware that some parking slots are only available to people with special permits. A fine and towing at the owner's expense may ensue from parking or outside designated areas. Finding parking spaces can occasionally be challenging, particularly shortly after the start of the semester. Therefore, we urge all our students, faculty, and staff to avoid driving to activities and instead use the bus or bicycle.
